- Scaling AI Without Crashing: Secure Your AI Lifecycle and Scale Up at Speed(Plenary) Many companies see the opportunity in AI to radically change the way they do business and speed up their digital transformation. Whether it’s to improve customer experience and reduce customer churn, accelerate innovation or optimize productivity of financial flows, or reduce costs through predictive analytics. After focusing resources on their AI practice, organisations are pushing their models out of the sandbox and serving them at scale so that they can start realising the ROI. However, it is not that simple and companies continue to face many challenges. Numerous government agencies and enterprise customers have deployed their models two to three years ago, but have not retrained the models using the latest data since then. That’s not even counting the many models in sandboxes failing to go live in production. The question is therefore, how to secure your AI lifecycle and scale up at speed? Join this session to learn more about: What are the challenges & limitations with AI industrialization? What are the ingredients to correct the flaws, secure your AI launch and scale the use of AI across the business? How to create resilient AI-driven assets to maximize impact?

- Benchmark Your Third-party Sensitive Content Communications Maturity Level(Plenary) Digital transformation is accelerating sharing and transfer of sensitive content to third parties across all industry sectors. Nearly all of this data is regulated and protected by governmental and industry standards. In addition to a cyber-threat landscape that is growing in complexity and maliciousness, maturity of governance and security tracking and controls directly translates into risk. This presentation explores key findings from a new cross-industry global survey focused on third-party sensitive content communications and spells out key takeaways that will help attendees improve their risk posture as it relates to compliance and security.
- Fundamentals to Adapting your Operating Model for Disruptive Technologies and Trends(Plenary) Changing your operating model is very often more difficult than expected. As organisations seek to change in response to drivers such as Digital Transformation, Cloud and DevOps, their results are often less than desired. Join this session to understand the fundamentals of redesigning an operating model and the requirements for successful implementations. This session is applicable if you're seeking to build a new team or architecting your entire organisation. What is an operating model, and why clarity is important A standardised approach to design and implementation Key challenges and tips for achieving success
- Managing Multi-Cloud Deployments for Policy Enforcement and Compliance(Plenary) Organizations are facing increasing complexities of managing secure multi-cloud deployments and decentralizing risks, securing sensitive data, while centralizing visibility for compliance. A Unified framework for security and compliance including centralized authentication, authorization, and audit control is needed to reduce both risk and operational overhead. Hear from Wayne Lewandowski, Global VP of the Multi Cloud Center of Excellence, as he shares how securing enterprise data and virtual workloads, automating compliance, and preventing misconfigurations can position your organization to be positioned against malicious and negligent actions in your virtual and container infrastructure.
- Journals from the trenches: The War on talent(Plenary) Like a dystopian sci fi novel, the perfect pandemic pair of ransomware and covid stoked the fire on civil unrest and organised crime, closed borders restricted the flow of augmented talent. With a backdrop of geopolitical tension, an already challenged talent shortage became stretched like the Australian flag left half mask in a super cyclone! In our talk, Tim Dillon from NCC Group will share their successes from the trenches of the talent tempest that continues to rage.
- Lunch & Networking Break(Plenary)
- Building an Actionable and Strategic IT Framework(Plenary) “Embrace early collaboration, develop your strategy and plan your delivery” – how we got buy in at all levels through third party Cyber and BCP assessments and build an actionable IT strategic framework that aligned with the Business’s overall direction “Environment and platform selection” - Let the data and your strategic framework guide your decisions. “Solution and Software Development – don’t Stray from the path, power walk down it.” - Know the roadmap of your SaaS products and match where possible. Some of the Key Takeaways as Ben shares the following: Use front end studies to drive early collaboration at all levels of the business, develop your strategy and plan your delivery. Expect initial cloud cost to be high but value to the business, specifically to your team, to be significantly higher. Refactor and reduce costs once your environment is stable and the data validates the changes. Try to keep your Saas solutions as out of the box as possible, but if you do need to change them, stick close to the vendors path, the team will follow.
- Knowledge Graphs - The Secret Ingredient CIOs Are Using to Accelerate Cloud Transformation Through to Employee Engagement(Plenary) The war for talent, and digital transformation, are both a huge focus for CIOs today. 86% of Australian CIOs noted in a recent survey the need to acquire and retain top talent as the skills shortage continues. Engaging employees and providing career pathways is key to retention. Meanwhile CIOs must continue to manage the complex migration of IT estates to the cloud, requiring a deep understanding of the network dependencies to prevent outages. Knowledge Graphs built on Neo4j offer a complete view of their business in near real-time, making sense of vast amounts of data - from IT network performance to employee skills catalogues. The resulting Knowledge Graphs enable CIOs and their teams to make faster decisions, automate processes, and retain top talent.
- The Shift in Modernising Endpoint Protection(Plenary) Cyber Security – The shift of focus from protecting the edge and data centre to the increasing requirement to protect the endpoint in a rapidly growing and evolving work environment & culture. CISOs need to arm teams with the right tools for a holistic approach to Zero Trust Access, from endpoint security to network access control. The threat landscape continues to evolve as malicious actors quickly adapt to the changing environment and are finding new ways to exploit vulnerabilities. It is now more critical than ever to protect your workforce at the endpoint no matter where you are. Join us in this session as Mat showcases if we are prepared for accelerated digitisation in the next three to five years. Are we looking far enough to understand how today’s technology investments will have cybersecurity implications in the future? Why investing in technology to protect the endpoint is so vital to Enterprises and how to drive ownership from the executive Data Loss prevention techniques and what to consider when thinking of this strategically The end-user and the role they play, how to engage, drive awareness and change mindsets
- How to Deal with a Massive Growth Period and Mature Your Process(Plenary) How often do we come across the question, “ How do you scale the number of employees and process knowledge? ”. One could argue that there’s no wrong answer. But how well thought through is the answer to the above question, would define not only the organisational success of a company with their Information, but it also would be your key ingredient for extracting the true value of your information technology culture, retention and ultimately attraction. - Carrying Out a Successful Cloud Transformation Journey in a Fast Paced, Disjointed Environment(Plenary) What’s your best move when carrying out a transformation journey in an organisation where the culture is not set up for that journey? Often we find ourselves in environments where the infrastructure is hand touched and not repeatable and therefore not an easy task to take over. On top of that the culture is a problem too and lack of trust across teams which leads to blame, job insecurity and high turn-over. During this session we take a closer look at how Dye & Durham have turned a ship in successfully going through this journey despite the odds when it comes to culture, adaptability , the silo based environment that they were in prior. Join us as we get together with David Hobley to discuss: Transformation in conjunction with culture change : moving from silo based teams to a unified approach Right-sizing product delivery teams based on BA & QA skills Understanding & navigating your path to automation
