Agenda
- How to Formulate and Implement a Winning AI Strategy(Plenary) Today most organisations rely on data-driven insights to make critical operational and strategic decisions. But given the complexity and vastness of the modern enterprise data ecosystem, finding the right data set and extracting actionable insights is an extremely complicated and time-consuming process. That’s where data virtualisation can be used to abstract that complexity and introduce simplicity. Data Virtualisation is a modern data integration technique that uses a single unified semantic layer to give you visibility into all of your data assets so that they can be better leveraged across the business. Attend this session to understand how data virtualisation can be used to; Complete the self-service model by allowing business users to easily discover data for their specific business purpose Promote trust in data and encourage re-use of existing data assets Apply consistent security and governance policies across the enterprise data landscape
- Keynote: How to Use Behavioural Economics to Define Improved KPIs(Plenary) Attend this session to gain insights into understand the landscape of tracking metrics/data and what strategic work is required as an organisation to measure customer ease. Key learnings from this session: How do you measure ease? What metrics will give you visibility on it for your organisation? What KPIs would align stakeholders in actually improving ease over time?
- What's The Big Deal About Data Observability?(Plenary) Due to the ongoing exploding supply of data, enterprises must keep constant watch over their data and the pipelines through which it is ingested, prepared, and otherwise made fit for operational uses. Many enterprises have optimized data ingestion processes but experience issues with data management and data reliability. Data observability enables organizations to continually track, correlate, assess, predict, manage, and optimize the health of their data systems in operation. It is an essential tool for monitoring the metrics—such as data availability, reliability, efficiency, and performance—that businesses apply to ensure data teams meet the increasing demand for real-time data insights, data consumers trust the data they use to make business decisions, and executives ensure data delivery and pipeline performance meet business requirements. This session will cover best practices for using multidimensional data observability to monitor and optimize operational data pipelines and how to: Make the strategic case for data observability Identify the chief business metrics of data observability Use automation to scale data identification, reliability, quality and management Instrument the enterprise data infrastructure for comprehensible observability Use intelligent observability to augment data pipeline professionals’ productivity
- Keynote: Setting up a Data Centre of Excellence(Plenary) Join Tammy Braybrook, Chief Data Officer, IP Australia as we explore how we can optimise our data and analytics value to drive transformation and growth from data matters to information matters. Join this session to learn: How to develop a data centre of excellence, and build internal advocacy Pathways to develop a data-centric organisational culture Advice on how to gain the buy-in necessary to engage in data sharing

How an enterprise prioritizes data as a strategic asset will determine its survival, growth potential, and competitive advantage. Having a true data management strategy to ensure quality, trustworthy data at scale will be key for businesses to drive increased revenue and outperform competitors. Join this session to learn: Why our results start with our mind How to identify behaviours that aren’t serving us What to do when our thoughts and beliefs need to change
- Thought Leadership: The “Why”, “What” and “How” of Data Mesh(Plenary) The Data Mesh is a new data management approach centred around a de-centralized data architecture and a domain focused organisational paradigm. It is gaining strong interest and momentum as organisations continue to try to tackle the complexity and challenges around data management. In this session, Felix Liao, APAC Director of Product Management at Denodo, breaks down the key principles behind the data mesh and explains how to leverage data mesh as a key part of a data management modernisation strategy. Join us at this session to learn more about: Why do you need Data Mesh and what problems does it solve What are the key principles of a Data Mesh approach to data management How enabling technologies such as Denodo can support a Data Mesh implementation

Eliminate the bottleneck of having IT as the gatekeeper of all data, thus enabling the entire organisation to become data and insight driven.
- Roundtable Sessions(Plenary) Roundtable 1 - How can CDOs Increase Observability, Cost Savings and Optimisation? The past year has been a game-changer for companies worldwide, not only because it demonstrated the importance of digital transformation but it also revealed the crucial need for data observability and data optimisation in disruptive times. Today’s fast-changing business climate demands real-time visibility and up-to-the-minute recommendations from data and analytics. This in turn depends on (a) clearly defined projects, (b) data acquisition, blending, exploration, (c) feature engineering, model training, evaluation, (d) model deployment, monitoring and rebasing. In this presentation, I provide a tour of this end-end data science lifecycle and key components, including an agile data fabric and catalog, a data science modeling environment, model operations and interactive visual analytics on streaming and accumulating data. I will illustrate this flow with case studies in manufacturing and financial services, and describe the emerging world of human-centered AI in context.
