Agenda
- Thought Leadership: How To Formulate and Implement a Winning AI Strategy(Plenary) Today most organisations rely on data-driven insights to make critical operational and strategic decisions. But given the complexity and vastness of the modern enterprise data ecosystem, finding the right data set and extracting actionable insights is an extremely complicated and time-consuming process. That’s where data virtualisation can be used to abstract that complexity and introduce simplicity. Data Virtualisation is a modern data integration technique that uses a single unified semantic layer to give you visibility into all of your data assets so that they can be better leveraged across the business.Attend this session to understand how data virtualisation can be used to; Complete the self-service model by allowing business users to easily discover data for their specific business purpose Promote trust in data and encourage re-use of existing data assets Apply consistent security and governance policies across the enterprise data landscape
- Keynote: How to Tackle Challenges and Align your Data Strategy with Execution(Plenary) The universe of data and modelling has changed vastly over the past few years. The volume of information is growing rapidly, while opportunities to expand insights by combining data are accelerating. Bigger and better data give companies both more panoramic and more granular views of their business environment. Join this session to understand how we can: Source data creatively Get the necessary IT support and advocacy Develop business-relevant analytics that can be put to use
- Connected Intelligence: Data Science in Operations(Plenary) Having an analytical insight is one thing, but actually doing something about it is something else entirely. Today’s fast-changing business climate demands real-time visibility and up-to-the-minute recommendations from data and analytics. This in turn depends on (a) clearly defined projects, (b) data acquisition, blending, exploration, (c) feature engineering, model training, evaluation, (d) model deployment, monitoring and rebasing. In this presentation, I provide a tour of this end-end data science lifecycle and key components, including an agile data fabric and catalog, a data science modeling environment, model operations and interactive visual analytics on streaming and accumulating data. I will illustrate this flow with case studies in manufacturing and financial services, and describe the emerging world of human-centered AI in context.
- Keynote: Wanted - Data Scientists: The Search for ' Tech Unicorns '(Plenary) Sourcing well-skilled data scientists can be challenging for CDO's. In this discussion we will be discussing the ongoing problem of finding these ' Tech Unicorns' across South-East Asia. Join this session to gain insights into: The war on talent across and what that really means Best practice approaches Challenges and lessons learnt
- What's The Big Deal About Data Observability?(Plenary) Due to the ongoing exploding supply of data, enterprises must keep constant watch over their data and the pipelines through which it is ingested, prepared, and otherwise made fit for operational uses. Many enterprises have optimized data ingestion processes but experience issues with data management and data reliability. Data observability enables organizations to continually track, correlate, assess, predict, manage, and optimize the health of their data systems in operation. It is an essential tool for monitoring the metrics—such as data availability, reliability, efficiency, and performance—that businesses apply to ensure data teams meet the increasing demand for real-time data insights, data consumers trust the data they use to make business decisions, and executives ensure data delivery and pipeline performance meet business requirements. This session will cover best practices for using multidimensional data observability to monitor and optimize operational data pipelines and how to: Make the strategic case for data observability Identify the chief business metrics of data observability Use automation to scale data identification, reliability, quality and management Instrument the enterprise data infrastructure for comprehensible observability Use intelligent observability to augment data pipeline professionals’ productivity
- Keynote: How to Shift Your Internal Operating Systems as a Leader(Plenary) High performance is an inside job. What is your current default way of thinking? And does it help or hinder what you’re building as a leader? Ram Castillo will share tools, techniques and frameworks to access empowered, value-aligned behaviour shifts. Join this session to learn: Why our results start with our mind How to identify behaviours that aren’t serving us What to do when our thoughts and beliefs need to change
- Unleash Data Democracy: Drive knowledge Sharing and Collaboration(Plenary) Learn how a data system of engagement helps combat inefficiencies and ensures trusted data is accessed and used in a compliant way. Eliminate the bottleneck of having IT as the gatekeeper of all data, thus enabling the entire organisation to become data and insight driven.
- Roundtables / Networking Break(Plenary) Roundtable 1 - How can CDOs Increase Observability, Cost Savings and Optimisation? Roundtable 2 - Digital Transformation Journey - Data as a Strategic Asset Roundtable 3 - BI & Data Trends 2022: What’s impacting ASEAN
- Keynote: Engineering Data Privacy to Enable Trust, Governance and Compliance(Plenary) Attend this session to gain insights into: Enable effective scalable data privacy How to be customer data focused Best practice approaches Challenges and lessons learnt
- Prioritising Data as a Strategic Asset(Plenary) Data is a critical business asset, whether that's realized to its full potential is up to the business. How an enterprise prioritizes data as a strategic asset will determine its survival, growth potential, and competitive advantage. Having a true data management strategy to ensure quality, trustworthy data at scale will be key for businesses to drive increased revenue and outperform competitors. Join Rex Ahlstrom; CTO, EVP Innovation & Growth at Syniti, as he discussed on what are the cost and implication of bad data and how with improved data management, business executives can then make more informed decisions. Attendees will walk away with: ● Understanding data’s significance & value - why is it so important for businesses today? ● How data quality and company success are inextricably linked ● Combining quality data with the right choice of emerging tech to improve competitive advantage
- Panel: Storytelling Through Data to Make Informed Business Decisions(Plenary) Data storytelling offers a more engaging means of communicating findings than BI reporting or data visualisation alone. This trend is an extension of the now dominant self-service model of BI, combining data visualisation with narrative techniques. What is a data story? When and how should data storytelling be used? What new skills and techniques are needed to create compelling data stories? This panel will hear insights from leading data leaders across the region on how data can drive business outcomes and meaningful insights through successful storytelling: Using data and analytics to influence stakeholders at all levels How to shape data into a narrative to help reveal findings and emerging trends How to use data storytelling, data visualisation and dashboards to think differently about its impacts on the wider enterprise? What are the data & digital literacy skills required in a hyper digitalised and data-driven era?
- Thought Leadership: 2022: The end of Passive BI(Plenary) According to PwC, nearly 4 out of 5 CEOs believe that remote collaboration will last after the pandemic. How will trends like these impact your business – and what should you do to get ahead of them? Join us in this session and learn how and why organizations are shifting their focus from passive BI to Active Intelligence, where we’ll cover what’s emerging right now, including: Evolution of the dashboard Data Mesh: New fabric for distributed data Distributed Clouds emerge Use of application automation to trigger action
- Keynote: Data Insights and Foresight as Pillars of Compliance(Plenary) Join this session to gain insights into: Leverage data insights to engage your stakeholders Organise data using the language of the business Present data to tell an accurate story and prescribe actions to improve your business
- Does Your Data and Analytics Strategy Have a Clear Value Proposition?(Plenary) Being able to navigate through complexity to set short-, medium- and long-term data strategies Intelligent data transformation starts with a strong data-driven strategy How to implement intelligent data transformation strategies aligned with their overall digitalization strategy, to get the most out of your data and transform your business models.
