- Why the Relationship between EX & CX Can’t Be Ignored.(CHRO Sit-Down) Customer experience (CX) and employee experience (EX) are very closely connected. Any business leader worth their salt will tell you that if you treat your employees right, they will take care of your customers. If your staff feel supported, they are far more likely to create better customer experiences. It’s a simple message that sometimes gets lost as enterprises everywhere work overtime to provide the best service to their customer base while not spending enough time on making sure their staff are engaged. Join Sit-Down’s Director of Research & Production, Byron Connolly, and leading contact centre executives for a panel discussion on why the relationship between EX and CX can’t be ignored. Panelists will discuss: Why knowing your staff is just as importance as knowing your customers. The methods they use to ensure employees feel valued before they tackle customer experience. How investment in EX results in a corresponding increase in revenue and profitability.

- Designing a Workforce that Simplifies Roles to Optimise Growth.(CHRO Sit-Down) We’ve all been in circumstances where we’ve seen organisations not utilise their employees in their full potential or using them to their full potential but in the wrong role. Joining us as the Human Resources Director at General Mills, Shontel Turner will be speaking to us about the organisation’s simplification process, this strategy simply uses 20% of the company’s workforce to reinvest back into the business by putting the team to growth facing initiatives. Join this session to gain insights to: Using your team to their fullest potential. Enhancing your strategies and workplace.
- Why Your Employer Brand & Employee Value Proposition are your Best People Strategies for 2023(CHRO Sit-Down) Some of the early market predictions for 2023 centre heavily around retention being your best recruitment strategy and the importance of building a people first employer brand. With this in mind, irrespective of your businesses strategic priorities, chances are you are highly likely this year to either want to retain your top talent and/or attract the best talent. Your Employer Brand and Employee Value Proposition (EVP) are fundamental to this. During this connection Simone Strachan, Head of talent at Sportsbet, will kick off with some key context about each (because many people still don’t truly understand at the crux of it what these spaces are about), the impacts and possible return on investment to the people space and broader business by channelling some well planned resource or energy strategically into the space and most importantly things that your teams can do now and into the future to begin to have an immediate impact.
- Enhancing the Overall People Experience by Evolving Culture(CHRO Sit-Down) Eva Pool, Head of People Experience at The Country Road Group will be discussing how she creates a seamless employee experience for the organisation’s full time and casual staff. - Lunch & Networking Break(CHRO Sit-Down)
- Fireside Chat: When Hybrid Work Doesn’t Work(CHRO Sit-Down) Many organisations are crowing about their ability to offer workers more flexible hybrid work environments. It is a particularly attractive proposition for employees at just about every stage of their careers; an opportunity to use collaboration technologies to do their work, at least a couple of days a week, at locations away from the office. But there’s another side to hybrid work. Workers across many industries, such as manufacturing, retail and hospitality, need to be at the same place every day to do their jobs effectively. Most frontline workers don’t have access to hybrid working and for those that do, is it delivering on the promise Join Deborah Seeber, Chief People Officer at Nando’s Australia & New Zealand and Byron Connolly, Director of Research and Production at Sit-Down as they discuss the situations when hybrid work doesn’t work. They will discuss: What people are really missing out on when they work remotely most or all of the time. Why permanent remote working or hybrid arrangements are potentially disastrous for young people who won’t benefit from ‘learning by osmosis’ when they interact face-to-face with senior leaders. How you manage when you have different work environments for different work groups Why in-person communication is vital for any organisation, but especially in the hospitality sector.
- The Future of Work: Building a Fit for Purpose Function.(CHRO Sit-Down) At 1853i the approach to The Future of Work is to create an environment of iteration, learning, collaboration and speed. Join us, as the Chief People Officer, Nadia Jefferys, discusses her take on HR being action-oriented and staying free of unnecessary process and bureaucracy .

Join Melissa as she discusses how she creates a flexible and compelling environment to attract and retain a workforce in the demanding healthcare sector.
- The Future of Work is Hybrid(CHRO Sit-Down) Over the past two years, enterprises have been forced to change their work environments to accommodate staff who want to alternate between the office and their homes and other remote locations. Hybrid work is here to stay and organisations that demand staff come into the office every day are going to be less attractive particularly to younger Australians who have different ideas about work. Join Shane Leversha, Head of People and Culture at Uniting Vic.Tas and Raj Tapper, Group Chief People Officer and Board Director at Clemenger as they discuss new hybrid work environments at their respective organisations.
- End of Day & Closing Remarks by Sit-Down(CHRO Sit-Down)
