- E-invoicing Mandates 2026 & 2027 – How Australian Multinationals Should Prepare Sagie Shaposhnykov is a tax technology specialist with over a decade of experience helping multinational organisations navigate the increasingly complex world of indirect tax compliance, e-invoicing mandates, and digital transformation. He has worked across the full spectrum of global tax automation, from advising C-suite stakeholders on VAT/GST strategy to designing and implementing enterprise-grade solutions that connect seamlessly with cross-border business systems. Now based in Melbourne and working across the APAC region, Sagie brings a practitioner's perspective to the regulatory shifts reshaping how businesses manage their global tax obligations, including the rapid rollout of real-time reporting and continuous transaction controls across key markets. His work sits at the intersection of technology and compliance, focused on turning regulatory complexity into operational clarity. Karen Lay-Brew is the Strategic Advisor to the Australian Government on eInvoicing which is integral to Australia’s Digitalising Businesses. She is a Non-Executive Director serving on a number of boards including Energy Queensland and 3Pillars Digital. Prior to taking up the advisory role with eInvoicing, Karen has been involved in the initiative for a number of years representing the software industry. Her previous global experiences in multinational corporations as Chief Information Officer and Chief Productivity Officer has been highly relevant to an economy-wide change effort in encouraging small and large businesses to adopt eInvoicing.
