- Welcome Address & Introduction(Data+AI Day | Singapore)
- Geopolitics, Economic Realignment and the Leadership Decisions That Will Define Asia's Next Decade(Data+AI Day | Singapore) The assumptions that shaped the global economy for the past three decades are being challenged. Rising geopolitical competition, shifting economic alliances, technological disruption and changing patterns of trade and investment are reshaping the strategic landscape across Asia. As governments and organisations navigate an increasingly complex environment, leaders face critical decisions about competitiveness, resilience, innovation and growth. In this opening chat, Bilahari Kausikan explores the geopolitical and economic forces redefining the region, and examines the leadership choices that will determine which nations and organisations thrive in the decade ahead.
- The Orchestration Mandate: Balancing Innovation Velocity with Operational Control(Data+AI Day | Singapore) In an era of rapid technological flux, the traditional divide between the business and the technology has become a primary risk to enterprise agility. To move from isolated AI experiments to a high-performance, automated enterprise, leaders must shift their focus from individual tools to the broader orchestration of the entire organisation. In this opening keynote, previous and current experience as CIO and COO to provide a blueprint for the modern executive. She explores how to collapse organisational silos, architect intelligence into the very foundations of the business, and build a sustainable culture that ensures transformation isn't just a moment in time, but a durable competitive advantage. Discussion Points: • Collapsing the Silos: The Unified Operating Model - Moving beyond IT as a service provider to a model where CIO strategy and COO discipline are merged. Maria explores how eliminating structural friction is the only way to align technical roadmaps with high-stakes commercial outcomes. • Engineering Embedded AI: Beyond the Bolt-On - A look at why the pilot-first approach often leads to stagnation. This focuses on architecting intelligence into the enterprise’s foundational layers to ensure AI is governed, repeatable, and scalable from the start. • The Sustainability of Change: Orchestrating the Human + Machine Workforce - Exploring the talent architecture and cultural shifts required to make transformation stick, building a resilient workforce that leads alongside autonomous systems rather than just reacting to them.
- From Transformation to Reinvention: How Leading Enterprises Build Enduring Digital Advantage(Data+AI Day | Singapore) In an environment defined by constant disruption, digital transformation has evolved from a finite program into a continuous capability. This session explores how leading enterprises are shifting from episodic change to sustained reinvention—re-architecting their operating models, embedding intelligence at the core of decision-making, and building scalable platforms that enable ongoing innovation. It will examine how organisations can balance speed with resilience, leverage emerging technologies such as AI, and create the conditions for long-term competitive advantage. Discussion Points: From Projects to Platforms: How enterprises are moving beyond one-off transformation programs to platform-based architectures that enable continuous delivery, scalability, and ecosystem integration. Embedding Intelligence at the Core: What it takes to operationalise AI, data, and automation across the enterprise, not as isolated capabilities, but as foundational building blocks of decision-making and operations. Reinventing the Operating Model: How CDOs and CIOs are reshaping organisational structures, talent strategies, and governance to sustain speed, resilience, and innovation in parallel.
- Leading Enterprise Transformation: Cross-C-Suite Insights on Risk and ROI(Data+AI Day | Singapore) Successful enterprise transformation requires more than technology projects, it demands coordinated leadership across the C-suite. This panel of CIO, CDO, CISO, and COO will explore how to align technology and data investments with business outcomes, manage cyber, regulatory, and operational risks, and create shared accountability across finance, operations, and business units, turning complex initiatives into measurable enterprise value. Discussion Points: Aligning Technology Investment with Business Outcomes – How the CIO, CDO, CISO, and COO ensure transformation initiatives deliver measurable enterprise value rather than isolated digital projects. Balancing Innovation with Enterprise Risk – Navigating cyber, regulatory, operational, and financial risks while still enabling bold transformation across complex organisations. Building True Cross-C-Suite Ownership of Transformation – Moving beyond siloed leadership to create shared accountability between technology, finance, operations, and business units.
- Modernising Legacy Silos for a Cloud-First Strategy(Data+AI Day | Singapore) Legacy systems are often the "graveyards" of valuable enterprise data. This session focuses on the strategic migration of monolithic architectures to cloud-native data platforms that enable real-time analytics and AI readiness. Learn how to sequence your modernisation to prioritize data availability, ensuring that your migration strategy serves the broader goals of data democratisation and business intelligence. Discussion Points: Data-Centric Prioritisation: How to sequence migration based on the strategic value of the underlying data assets. Governance vs. Agility: Maintaining data integrity and sovereignty while moving toward a more fluid, scalable cloud architecture. Fueling Innovation: Leveraging cloud-native scalability to turn "static" legacy data into "active" assets for AI and predictive modeling.
- Networking Break & Morning Tea(Data+AI Day | Singapore)
- Executive Roundtable
- Peer-Driven Debates(AI, IT & Data Strategy) A: Platform Standardisation vs Best-of-Breed Technology Should enterprises consolidate around fewer strategic platforms, or maintain flexibility through best-of-breed solutions? Discussion Points: At what point does platform sprawl become a barrier to transformation? Does standardisation reduce complexity or limit innovation and competitive differentiation? How should leaders evaluate trade-offs between vendor consolidation, cost, and capability? B: AI-Native Transformation vs Incremental Modernisation Should organisations fundamentally redesign operations around AI, or focus on augmenting existing processes? Discussion Points: When does AI justify rethinking operating models rather than automating existing workflows? How do leaders balance business disruption against long-term competitive advantage? Is incremental change sufficient in a market where AI capabilities are advancing rapidly? C: Technology Efficiency vs Technology Growth Should technology leaders prioritise optimisation and cost discipline, or continue investing aggressively in innovation and capability expansion? Discussion Points: How should CIOs demonstrate value beyond cost reduction? When do efficiency programs create future technical debt or capability gaps? What distinguishes strategic investment from technology spending for its own sake? D: Data Sovereignty vs Global Data Strategy Should organisations prioritise local data residency and sovereignty requirements, or optimise for globally integrated data ecosystems? Discussion Points: How are evolving regulatory expectations influencing enterprise data architecture? When does sovereignty become a competitive advantage versus an operational constraint? Can organisations achieve both global intelligence and local compliance at scale? E: Data Quality First vs AI First Should organisations focus on fixing data foundations before scaling AI, or use AI initiatives to accelerate data maturity? Discussion Points: Is poor data quality still the biggest barrier to AI success? Can AI create business value even when data foundations are imperfect? How should executives sequence investments between data governance, engineering, and AI capabilities? F: Cyber Resilience vs Cyber Prevention Should security strategies focus primarily on preventing attacks, or assume breaches are inevitable and prioritise resilience? Discussion Points: How should organisations measure success in a world where perfect prevention is unrealistic? Where should security budgets be allocated between protection, detection, response, and recovery? Does resilience provide a more meaningful business metric than risk reduction? G: Zero Trust vs Frictionless Digital Experience How much operational friction should organisations accept in pursuit of stronger security? Discussion Points: When do security controls begin to undermine productivity and innovation? How can security leaders improve protection without creating user resistance? Is the future of security invisible by design, or will stronger controls inevitably introduce friction?
